I found a great new blog today written by a PhD candidate at Irvine on the topics of ‘literature, philosophy, and popular culture with the project of political and cultural change in America.’ In this post he cleverly intones an imaginary conversation between John Paul Sartre and Jean Genet, in which the final moments end here:
”I hate having to go to sleep. It’s like walking out of a concert. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not in love with waking life either. I just think human beings should get to choose one or the other for all time, because the transition makes you sad as hell.”
Guess who wraps up this side of the conversation? Find the answer here.
